Welcome to the Stark County Genealogy Society Blog. My family names include: Barr, Deckman, Swinehart, and Reed. The families migrated to Ohio from Pennsylvania in the very early 1800s. While I have an extensive genealogy file on each of these families, I am always looking for more.

The Stark County District Library has many resources for individuals looking for information in the Stark County, Ohio area and beyond. On their web site (http://www.starklibrary.org/genealogy) you can make requests for information.
Does the Stark County Genealogy Society have any information about a communitarian experiment in Marlboro Twp. of Stark Co. started by the Brooke family around 1842?
